Your Development Strategy
RQIA‑aligned governance. Clear policies, audits (care planning, medication, records, H&S), action plans and incident learning cycles, with transparency and duty of candour.
Outcomes focus. We measure what matters: independence skills, health outcomes, community participation and personal goals.
We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We make reasonable adjustments and support culturally competent practice so colleagues and the people we support feel respected and included
Safeguarding (Adults & Children), consent/capacity and human rights. NI safeguarding framework, rights‑based decision‑making and least‑restrictive practice.
Infection prevention & control, moving & handling, health & safety. Regional IPC standards and safe manual handling practice.
Medicines support (community). Governance, assessment of support needs, record‑keeping and joint working per NICE NG67.
CPI Safety Interventions™ (formerly MAPA®). Trauma‑informed, person‑centred de‑escalation skills, plus safe disengagement and holding techniques taught only as least‑restrictive, last‑resort responses. Training is aligned to the RRN Training Standards (certification delivered via BILD ACT across the UK).
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Understanding function of behaviour, proactive and reactive strategies that prioritise quality of life and reduce restrictive practices; structured incident analysis and learning.
Paid induction & shadowing on each package, with a paced introduction to the care plan and environment.
Regular supervision & reflective practice (1:1 sessions, team debriefs, post‑incident learning) underpinned by our governance and improvement cycles.
