Direct Homecare, experts in person led care at home.

Welcome to Direct Homecare. We are a homecare agency offering person led care at home for across the UK. Respect, dignity and compassion are enshrined in everything we do. We are proudly accredited by the CQC, meaning our care is regulated and of an exceptional standard. Whether you’re in need of a complex homecare package, live-in homecare package or something entirely bespoke, Direct Homecare takes a patient-centric approach to creating a custom homecare plan that considers individual personal and clinical needs.

We provide a managed homecare service, putting you or your loved one at the centre of every decision. Honesty and integrity are at the heart of our business. For clients with a personal health budget, we offer a full managed account homecare service, dealing with the administration of the budget and all aspects of care, from carer payroll to account audits.

At Direct Homecare, we prioritise delivering the highest standard of home care, offering patients comfort and dignity in their own home. Homecare allows you or your loved one to be treated in an environment that is much less formal than a hospital ward. Our flexible and reliable service is tailored to meet your unique requirements, whether you need care at short notice, or on a long term, continuous basis.

Every one of our homecare nurses, healthcare assistants and homecare workers undertake ongoing training to ensure their knowledge and skills are up to date. An alternative to inpatient care, homecare nursing allows a quick response to changes in the patient’s condition. We provide a level of care to suit exactly what you need, and are committed to finding the right person to match your requirements.

What is homecare?

Homecare is the name given to care delivered in the home environment, and can be on a live-in or visiting basis. This is typically split into domiciliary homecare and clinical or nursing homecare. Domiciliary care is undertaken by a carer, and usually involves help around the house, companionship services and personal care. Nursing homecare typically involves care that requires a medical professional, such a post-operative homecare, homecare for complex clinical conditions or neurological homecare - and is delivered by a nurse or doctor.

How can homecare help me?

For many people, arranging care at home can offer a number of benefits. Homecare can allow patients and their families to remain in their own homes, which promotes independence and also allows people to stay in a familiar environment without the upheaval of moving into a residential care setting for example. Homecare can also give peace of mind to families, reducing fall or injury risks and minimising re-hospitalisations. How can I arrange homecare?

At Direct Homecare, we are always available for an honest and compassionate conversation about your homecare requirements. Even if you’re unsure of what type of homecare might be suitable for you, our team is here to guide you through the process. Depending on your preferences, we will build a tailor-made care plan centred around the individual, and allow you to be as involved in the process as you wish. You can contact our team here.

Wayne's Story

Being in hospital with limited mobility, I knew the only way for me to return home was to reach out to a home care service provider. Whilst I didn’t know too much at the time about how the process of securing care worked, the people at Direct Homecare made it all seem very seamless. And after a couple of weeks, I got an exceptional carer in Andrew.

What amazed me most at first was the progress I was making and just how much of a difference it made to me to be at home with Andrew’s help instead of in hospital. I think this is because we’ve got such a great relationship; we have similar interests and personalities, and he really knows how to motivate me. Moreover, I value Andrew’s reliability and trustworthiness. He’s never let me down and knowing I can trust him makes a huge difference for me and, for that, I’m genuinely thankful.

Excellent care!

A big thank you to Direct Homecare for the great work with our client. They found it 'absolutely' amazing how they have been able to implement care and build a very good relationship with the client and the mum when no other health professional has been able to work within the home.
