Direct Homecare - Northern Ireland
Be part of a team delivering safe, nurse‑led care at home and in supported living across Northern Ireland. Our culture is grounded in rights‑based, person‑centred practice and strong clinical governance. (Aligned with our Vision, Mission & Values for RQIA‑regulated Supported Living – Learning Disability Service.)
Values‑led practice. We place safety, dignity, independence, inclusion, openness and continuous learning at the heart of everything we do. These values guide daily decisions and how we support people with learning disabilities and autism to live full lives in their own homes and communities.
Regulatory alignment from day one. Our services operate under Northern Ireland’s independent regulator RQIA(registration, inspection and minimum standards). Joining us means working within clear, well‑led frameworks that protect staff and the people we support.
A workforce standard you can trust. Social care roles in domiciliary and supported living settings in NI require NISCC registration and adherence to the Standards of Conduct and Practice; we help you register, onboard and keep your CPD on track.
Direct Homecare’s Code of Conduct sets out the professional behaviours and everyday standards expected of every colleague. It covers safeguarding, consent and decision‑making, person‑centred planning, records and information governance, infection prevention & control, safe medicines support, PBS and CPI Safety Interventions, equality and human rights, candour and complaints.
In practice: you’ll receive clear policies, paid induction and shadowing, regular supervision and reflective debriefs, with a supportive escalation and on‑call structure so you’re never alone on difficult shifts. (See Training & Support below.)
Supported Living / Domiciliary Care Workers (Learning Disability & Autism) — person‑centred daily living support, PBS‑informed practice, community inclusion.
Senior Support Workers / Team Leaders — coordinate shifts, mentor staff, oversee records and incident learning.
RNLD/RMN/RGN (nurse‑led packages) — complex community nursing oversight, medicines governance and safe delegation to support workers (NMC accountability applies).
All social care staff must hold or obtain NISCC registration (we can support you through the process). Nurses must hold current NMC registration.
Tell us about you. Share your CV and a short statement about why rights‑based, person‑centred support matters to you.
Interview & values fit. Meet a manager and a colleague; we’ll focus on scenarios, values and reflective practice.
Onboarding & registration. We’ll support you with checks, NISCC registration (where applicable) and your tailored induction plan.
