What is Overnight Homecare?

Overnight homecare is when a professional carer spends the night in your home, to give peace of mind, assist with care and ensure safety. This may involve duties such as administering medicine, assisting with movement or using the toilet. Using an overnight homecare service can be particularly reassuring for people who may be confused or afraid during the night.

Specialists in Overnight Homecare

We understand that care at home is often a round-the-clock requirement, and our team of experienced overnight carers can offer assistance or simply a reassuring presence if you or a loved one have disturbed nights of sleep. It is not uncommon for certain medical conditions, such as dementia, to cause restlessness at night and lead to wandering around the home.

Overnight Homecare: How We Care

If you require overnight homecare, our carers can be on hand for either an “awake service” or an “asleep service”. An “awake” overnight homecare service is when your carer will awake during the night, particularly to ensure safety if you or your loved one might not be able to call for help or are confused during the night. An “asleep” overnight homecare service is when your carer will be asleep in your home and will wake up if and when you need assistance. Overnight homecare duties can vary, but include getting ready for bed, or dressed in the morning, personal hygiene and continence care, managing or administering medication and helping to move position either in bed or in the home during the night.

We're always here to help look after you and your loved ones.
